3i-backed Chorion acquires Copyrights Group

Chorion, the UK-based owner and manager of classic and contemporary literary-based brands such as Mr Men and Noddy, said Monday that it has bought for an undisclosed amount The Copyrights Group, which owns the Beatrix Potter and Paddington Bear brands, among others.

“The properties managed by Copyrights are highly complementary to Chorion’s existing stable of high quality classic properties, and this transaction provides further evidence of Chorion’s ability to grow through acquisition to support its organic growth potential,” said 3i director, Tom Salmon.
