A Note To The Private Equity Community: –

Buyouts would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the victims of Tuesday?s horrific attacks, and to their families and loved ones. We would also like to thank those who have checked in on our well-being. Our 195 Broadway team is accounted for, as are most of our Thomson Financial colleagues based out of the WTC itself.

While it is still difficult to obtain accurate information on the status of many private equity professionals, we have confirmed that the entire teams from Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Private Equity and the MMC Capital Communications & Information Fund are accounted for. There are, however, still outstanding concerns over employees from other units of MSDW and MMC who have not yet been heard from. The Web site for Salomon Smith Barney, which had offices at 7 World Trade, reports that its employees were all evacuated prior to that building?s collapse. Also accounted for is Vincent Ingato, senior vice president of leveraged finance with Fuji Bank, who was based on the 79th Floor of the South Tower.

If you are a member of the private equity community who worked in or near the WTC, please send an email to Dan Primack at
