ABN AMRO Capital makes first Spanish exit

ABN AMRO Capital has made its first exit in Spain with the sale of industrial cleaning services company UNICA. UNICA has been sold to the Spanish subsidiary of Danish cleaning and general services company ISS for €73m. This generated a return of 20% to investors. UNICA was acquired in 2001 by a private equity consortium, including Spanish investors Corpfin Capital and Dinamia, for an undisclosed amount. The investment was also ABN AMRO Capital’s first in Spain.

The acquisition of UNICA will make ISS the largest cleaning and general services company in Spain with 21,500 employees, 8,000 clients and a consolidated turnover of €316m.
