Comments – Interregnum has paid the first tranche of a £650,000 investment into Adaptive Ltd. The company will receive a further payment at a later date. Interregnum has been working with Adaptive since 1997 and previously invested £950,000 alongside 3i and Abbey National in May 2001.

Founded in 1996, as a spin-off from Abbey National, Adaptive has built and developed its suite of products to help simplify the process of implementing an enterprise repository, from information design to process support to deployment across the web. Particular application areas include systems and component-based development, metadata management and enterprise architecture.

Interregnum has also made a further investment of £500,000 in another of its portfolio companies, ComputerWire plc. Ken Olisa, chairman and CEO of Interregnum, commented: “Despite difficult market conditions Interregnum remains committed to investing in robust and innovative IT companies to enable them to transform technology into wealth. Adaptive and ComputerWire are both quality businesses, with strong management teams and very attractive propositions.”
