Global private equity firm Advent International has added a second person to its operating partner programme focusing on the oil and gas services and equipment sector.
With over 30 years of experience, Tom Ehret will lead the European deals team in the offshore and subsea sectors. Prior to Advent, he was CEO of Acergy, an offshore engineering and construction company. Before Acergy, he led Stena Offshore, a private contractor for subsea and deepwater projects.
Ehret currently holds a number of non-executive directorships, including chairman of Viking Moorings, deputy chairman of Acergy, deputy chairman of Dockwise, non-executive director of Green Holdings Corporation and he is a member of the supervisory board of SBM Offshore.
In the past month, Michael McShane was also recruited to the operating programme, focusing on the oil and gas and equipment sector. He is responsible for the US deals team. Advent’s operating programme involves business leaders from various sectors working as consultants to the firm.
