Aksia TorreyCove hires Trevor Jackson as portfolio advisor

Aksia TorreyCove has hired Trevor Jackson as a senior portfolio advisor, Buyouts has learned.

Aksia vice chairman David Fann introduced Jackson at Tuesday’s meeting of the Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System Board.

“We’re honored to have Trevor join our team at Aksia,” Fann said. He added Jackson had more than 20 years of investment experience.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Jackson has previously worked as a senior consultant at AndCo Consulting and Summit Strategies Group. He was also a vice president at Wilshire Associates, now known as Wilshire. He joined Aksia TorreyCove in April.

His profile also said he will be helping Aksia with multiple North American clients on “portfolio construction and manager selection.” He is based in the greater Los Angeles area.

Although Aksia TorreyCove is a private equity consultant for LACERS, the firm told Buyouts Jackson will be working across asset classes.

Jackson is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.

Aksia acquired TorreyCove Capital Partners, a prominent private equity consultant, in early 2020, as Buyouts reported. Other clients besides LACERS include New Jersey Division of Investment, Oregon State Treasury and San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System.
