Amadeus invests €650,000

European VC firm Amadeus Capital Partners has invested €650,000 in software company Linkdex.

London and San Francisco-based Linkdex allows companies and agencies the ability to manage search results for their online businesses more efficiently.

The investment came from Amadeus’ Seed Fund with additional support from Amadeus III. Linkdex is the sixth company Amadeus has funded in the past three years. The other five companies included a semiconductor company, a business information company and a desktop application developer.

CEO of Amadeus’ Seed Fund, Laurence John said: “Seed finance has never been more important than in this environment. Innovation needs to be stimulated and entrepreneurs supported. Early (seed) and later stage venture deals offer great opportunities for investment right now.”

Founded in 1997, Amadeus has £460m under management and has backed over 60 companies in industries such as telecommunications, networking hardware and software, cleantech, medtech, computer hardware and software, media, and e-commerce.
