As We Went to Press

Wily Technology Inc., a Burlingame, Calif.-based developer of performance management software for enterprise Java applications, has raised $15 million in its fourth round of venture capital financing. Led by late-stage technology firm Focus Ventures, the round also included commitments from Accel Partners and Greylock.

The capital will be used for the company’s continued expansion and growth. Now with the fourth version of its software on the market, it has secured customers like Pacific Gas & Electric, RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co., Sprint PCS and Wells Fargo. The software pinpoints problems on a comapny’s Web site and streamlines the performance of Web applications in real time.

Founded in 1998, the company’s venture backing now totals $35 million. Investors in previous rounds of financing include Accel, Focus, Greylock and Penninsula Capital Partners.
