ATRS confirms $155m in commitments

The US pension has backed six private equity funds.

Arkansas Teacher Retirement System has confirmed $155 million in commitments to six private equity vehicles, according to materials from the pension’s February board of trustees meeting.

The pension has committed $50 million to Silver Point Capital Fund, $30 million to SK Capital Partners VI and $30 million to Franklin Park Corporate Finance Access Fund II. The pension also committed $15 million each to three funds managed by Thoma Bravo: Thoma Bravo Fund XV, Thoma Bravo Discover Fund IV and Thoma Bravo Explore Fund II.

The $21.2 billion US public pension has a 12.6 percent current allocation to private equity and as illustrated below, tends to target North America-focused vehicles pursuing a variety of sectors.
