August Equitys Enara expands in Kent

Enara Group, a UK home care provider owned by August Equity, has acquired County Care Limited and five of the six businesses of The Home Service, for an undisclosed sum.

August acquired Enara in November 2008 for £20m, and immediately embarked on a buy-and-build strategy with the simultaneous acquisition of First Call Care Services.

The two new additions are both based in Kent. County Care provides home care for the elderly, and Home Service offers support for the elderly and adults with physical or learning difficulties, neurological or terminal illnesses and mental health problems.

This brings the total number of acquisitions since the MBO to six. In January Enara acquired Beech Care and Nursing Agency Limited, and in early February it welcomed Companions Care and Freshford Homecare to the fold.
