Auriga leads Cytoo round

French VC Auriga Partners has led a €3.2m funding round of biotech business Cytoo.

Founded in 2008, Cytoo, which is based in Grenoble, France, specializes in developing and making technology for cell analysis.

It was originally backed with seed investment from CEA Investissement, the investment arm of the government-backed technological research organization CEA, Rhône-Alpes-Creation, a regional seed investor, and Expansinvest, an early-stage specialist, as well as private donors including co-founder and president of the supervisory board at Cytoo, Jacques Lewiner, who has returned to participate in the latest round of financing.

The money raised with be used to expand the business overseas, build the team and furthers its research and development.
