Bain Capital hires first executive dedicated to communications

Anguilla, 36, joined the Boston-based firm, which has some $70 billion in assets under management, about two months ago and word is gradually getting out as he has his first conversations with reporters covering M&A, private equity, venture capital and related disciplines. (The firm did not issue a press release on his joining.) Anguilla told Buyouts that one of his early priorities will be to connect reporters with Bain Capital executives that can lend their expertise on various industry and economic trends.

Anguilla had previously worked for more than eight years at Bank of America. Most recently he was a senior vice president in charge of communications in the corporate affairs department, which includes corporate social responsibility, marketing and branding efforts for the bank.
