Baring Corilius exits Allami

Baring Corilius Private Equity (BCPE) has sold its stake in Allami Nyomda, a Hungarian printing company, back to management and its other major shareholder, Lang Biztonsagtechnologial Holding.

BCPE is Baring’s Private Equity central European fund manager, and invested in Allami in early 2001 through Baring Central European Fund, an €86m private equity vehicle that closed in 1999.

While no financial details pertaining to the Allami sale were disclosed, the fund’s return is, according to managing director Gyuri Karady, in the “30% IRR range”.
