Beer for Hotbed

Hotbed, the UK venture capital investment syndicate, has appointed Nigel Beer, the former head of Corporate Finance for London at KPMG, has been appointed as chairman.

Beer was a partner at KPMG for over 16 years and was also member of its national Corporate Finance Board. Throughout his career he has acted as lead advisor on many large-scale private equity and corporate deals.

Beer has been a non-executive director for the past 18 months at Hotbed, which specialises in providing private investors with direct access to high-quality private equity and commercial property investment opportunities. He also has a stake in the company itself.
