Carlyle hires head of consultant relations from Morgan Stanley

The role is a new one at Carlyle, the firm said. Seidman will work with consulting firms on Carlyle Solutions offerings in private equity, real estate, real assets and hedge funds, acccording to the firm.

“With [Seidman’s] help we will continue to build awareness in the institutional channel,” Jacques Chappuis, managing diretor and head of Carlyle Solutions, said in a prepared statement.

Seidman, who joined Carlyle Solutions on Dec 15, formerly worked as executive director of consultant relations at Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners in New York. He managed a $35 billion investment platform including hedge funds, private equity, real estate and diversified alternative solutions. 

Seidman’s resume also includes experience at Allianz Global Investors Capital, where he worked as senior vice president.
