Carlyle Group Inc’s AlpInvest Partners has raised $3.5 billion for its eighth co-investment fund, beating its $3 billion target, reported Reuters.

Carlyle Group Inc’s AlpInvest Partners has raised $3.5 billion for its eighth co-investment fund, beating its $3 billion target, reported Reuters. The news wire noted that AlpInvest Co-Investment Fund VIII will invest alongside private equity firms in businesses in consumer, industrials, healthcare, technology, financial and business services, mostly in North America, Europe and Asia. Since its inception in 2000, AlpInvest has raised more than $12 billion for its co-investment funds. Currently, AlpInvest has $55 billion in assets under management.
