Chart of the Week: Publicly-Traded BDCs Raised $1.2B In 4Q: Stifel Nicolaus

BDCs collected about $3.37 billion in 2012, according to Stifel Nicolaus & Co. In the fourth quarter alone, the tally was $1.2 billion, including $405 million from IPOs. The rest was raised overnight in deals completed before stock markets open the next day. The final period of 2012 was the second consecutive quarter where the amount raised was above the $1 billion mark. (Click link at right for a larger version of the chart.)
