Close Bros reshuffles senior management

UK corporate finance partner Close Brothers Corporate Finance has reorganised its senior management team.

Stephen Aulsebrook, current CEO of CBCF and CEO of UK business will now exclusively be CEO of European business. The aim of this move is to drive the firm’s European growth as it continues to be supported by Daiwa Securities.

In a further change, managing director and head of the media sector team, Richard Madden, has been appointed chief executive of the UK business.

Madden joined CBCF in 2005 from Bear Stearns where he was senior managing director of its European media practice. He has over 20 years of corporate finance experience spanning the UK, US and Continental Europe. Before Bear Stearns he was a managing director with ING Barings.

In other CBCF news, the firm has hired Tod Kersten as managing director to head its newly opened Warsaw office.

Kersten joins CBCF from Lazard where he was responsible for the firm’s Central and Eastern European (CEE) business. He has lived and worked in CEE since 1990 and has significant transactional experience in the region.

Prior to CBCF, he was US Treasury Advisor to the Polish minister of finance in the mid-nineties.
