Coller partner Salvato to step down

  • Luca Salvato is a partner in New York
  • Has worked at Coller since 2000
  • Unclear why he left

Luca Salvato, a partner at Coller Capital, is leaving the firm — another longtime professional exiting the ranks of the firm’s senior leadership.

It’s unclear why Salvato is leaving. He joined in 2000 and worked out of New York.

Shona Prendergast, a spokeswoman for Coller, declined to comment. Fortune reported on Salvato’s departure earlier.

In January, Coller Chief Executive Officer Tim Jones left the firm for personal reasons. Partner Ashley Johansen also left the company around the same time.

The departures came shortly after Coller announced the final close of fundraising for its seventh fund on $7.15 billion in January.

Some LPs questioned the timing of Jones’s departure so soon after the fund closing. Jeremy Coller, founder and sole key man, expressed disappointment at Jones’s decision. The firm said it would review how it manages the business to ensure it remains flexible and responsive, Buyouts has reported.
