CVC seeks advisors

UK LBO powerhouse CVC Capital Partners has appointed two new members to its global financial institutions advisory board.

Robert Jenkins and Jim Sutcliffe will be responsible for supporting CVC’s activities in the financial services sector.

Jenkins is currently CEO and managing partner of hedge fund manager, Combinatorics Capital. He was previously CEO and chairman of F&C Asset Management, spent sixteen years at Citibank and five years at Credit Suisse. Since 2007, he was chairman of the UK investment management association.

Sutcliffe has spent more than thirty years in the insurance and asset management industry, most recently as group chief executive officer of Old Mutual. Prior to this, he was deputy chairman of Liberty International and was chief executive of Prudential UK.

Founded in 1981, CVC has 19 offices with 233 employees throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. It currently has US$20bn in uninvested equity capital, making it one of the top five sources of private equity funds in the world.
