Daniela Weber-Rey elected to BVK

Daniela Weber-Rey has been elected to the board of directors of Bundesverband Deutscher Kapitalbeteiligungsgesellschaften (BVK), the German Venture Capital Association. Daniela Weber-Rey is a Berlin-based partner with law firm Clifford Chance.

The principal aim of the BVK is to promote public awareness of the role and importance of venture capital companies, particularly as a stabilizing factor for the German economy and as catalysts of economic growth. It currently has around 240 members and its nine-member board of directors reflects the various segments of the venture capital market.

Daniela Weber-Rey said: “I am honoured by the appointment to the board of the BVK. I look forward to continuing my work on the Legal and Tax Committee of the European Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (EVCA) and to helping the BVK meet the great challenges presented by the German tax reform, the new takeover laws and the still increasing presence of foreign sponsors in Germany.”
