Double hire for Osmosis

London-based asset manager Osmosis Capital has appointed Jim Totty as partner and senior investment manager.

Totty joins Osmosis from Citi Alternative Investments’ Nikko Principal Investments private equity business, where he has spent the past eight years. He has over 16 years’ experience in sustainable and clean technology.

Prior to Citi, he was a management consultant at PwC in the energy and utilities team, where he advised clients across a range of industries, including renewable energy.

Osmosis Capital has also recruited a former Goldman Sachs executive to take the role of partner in the firm’s investor relations team.

Carl-Henrik Bengtsson has over 11 years of investor relations experience, with a primary focus on European pension funds, banks and insurance companies. At Goldman Sachs he marketed the firm’s alternative investment products.

As part of his role in Osmosis, he will be responsible for building and managing the firm’s limited partner relationships and marketing its low carbon investment solutions to institutional investors on a global basis.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, Bengtsson worked at JPMorgan, Lehman Brothers and Erik Penser Fondkommission, a Swedish investment bank. His career, so far, has involved evaluating managers and advising institutional investors on their asset allocation strategies.
