Dr Gee joins Quester

Dr Jonathan Gee joins Quester to focus on healthcare investments and technology spinouts. Dr Gee has spearheaded Imperial College’s successful commercial exploitation of research for the last three years helping create more than 40 new companies.

Andrew Holmes, managing director of Quester, said: “We are delighted that Jonathan is joining Quester’s investment team. His experience of technology transfer in Universities further strengthens our commitment to this sector, and our existing relationships with leading UK academic institutions, such as the Universities of Bath, Bristol and Oxford.”

Dr Gee gained his PhD in cancer research at Oxford University in 1978. He joined Imperial Cancer Research Fund in 1986 to develop its technology transfer activities. In 1999 Dr Gee helped raise Imperial College’s GBP4 million University Challenge Seed Fund and was its first fund manager.
