Duke street new recruits

Following the closing of its first CDO fund at E750 million, Duke Street Capital Debt Management (DSCDM), the debt fund management business of the Duke Street Capital Group, has appointed Leona Campbell as associate director. She joins from Bank of Scotland Structured Finance where she originated and arranged senior and mezzanine debt in the European acquisition finance market.

“Leona brings with her important hands-on experience in credit analysis, structuring and arranging of senior and mezzanine debt, the focus of our first collaterised debt obligation fund Duchess I,” said Ian Hazelton chief executive DSCDM.

Duke Street Capital has also announced that Remy Sautter and Michel Jaouen have joined the firm’s advisory board to further enhance Duke Street’s sectoral and geographical expertise.

Sautter is currently president and CEO of RTL Radio, one of France’s leading radio groups and he holds several non-executive positions, including chairman of Channel 5 in the UK. Jaouen brings over 40 years’ experience in the chemicals sector.

He was formerly deputy general manager of the organic division of Pechiney Ugine-Kuhlman and was also deputy international manager of Elf Atochem, the chemicals subsidiary of Elf Aquitaine.

The advisory board provides top-level industry expertise to Duke Street’s investment team on deal origination, investee company management and exit management.
