UK mid-cap investor August Equity’s portfolio company Enara Group has acquired The Care Agency, a provider of live-in carers to the elderly for an undisclosed sum.
Established in 1990, The Care Agency provides carers to the elderly in need of post-operative care, end of life and respite care throughout the UK enabling them to remain in their own homes.
August Equity’s Aatif Hassan, said: “We are delighted with The Care Agency acquisition. It strengthens Enara’s service offering and private pay capability, which is a core part of the buy-and-build strategy.”
The Care Agency is the tenth bolt on acquisition August has made since its initial investment. In May the mid-cap investor secured a £23m acquisition facility for Enara. The facility was provided by HSBC and was partially drawn on completion to fund the acquisitions of a string of care facilities including, Marian Homecare, Abbey Home Care Agency and Community Careline Services
