Scale promotes Lynch

Scale Venture Partners has promoted Nancy Lynch to principal. She joined the firm in July 2006 after completing her MBA, with a concentration in health sector management, at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Broderick joins Prolog

Dan Broderick

has joined Prolog Ventures as its fourth partner. He previously was a managing director with Mason Wells in Milwaukee, Wis., where he managed the Mason Wells Biomedical Fund, the firm’s first venture capital fund.

Providence adds Allen

Barry Allen

has joined Providence Equity Partners as a senior advisor, focused on the telecom industry. He previously was with Qwest Communications, as executive vice president of operations.

Ma to focus on China for TPG

Mary Ma

has joined TPG as a partner and managing director to focus on activities in China. She previously was CFO of PC maker Lenovo, which counts TPG among its shareholders.

GA adds two to international staff

General Atlantic has made a pair of senior hires in Asia. Jeff Leng has joined as a managing director in the firm’s Hong Kong office. Leng had been a managing director with Warburg Pincus since 1999. Also, Ranjit Pandit has joined as a managing director in the firm’s Mumbai office. He previously was chairman of McKinsey & Co. India.

Ontario LP retires

Claude Lamoureux

will retire as president and CEO of the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan at the end of 2007. He will be succeeded by Jim Leech, who currently runs Teachers’ Private Capital, the system’s private equity arm. Leech’s successor has not yet been named.

Actis names China head

Lim Meng Ann

has joined Actis as a partner in charge of activities in China. Meng Ann previously was an executive vice president with GIC Special Investments, where he was responsible for China. Actis has invested more than $100 million in China over the past year.

Hanson hops over to FTVentures

Craig Hanson

has joined FTVentures as a vice president, with a focus on software opportunities. He previously was a principal with Vista Ventures.

Roark hires Field

Ezra Field is joining Roark Capital as a managing director, as first reported by LBO Wire. He previously was with ACI Capital Co.

Kreos adds COO

Simon Hirtzel

has joined European venture debt firm Kreos Capital as COO. He previously was with PA Consulting Group, where he most recently served as CFO.
