HarbourVest boosts staff

HarbourVest Partners has promoted Peter Lipson, Julie Ocko and Mary Traer each to the position of managing director. Traer also was named chief administrative officer. In addition, HarbourVest also promoted Karin Lagerlund to CFO, Sebastiaan van den Berg to principal and Bruce Pixler, Catherine Shih and Abraham Soquar to vice president.

The moves comes as Kevin Delbridge says that he is planning to transition out of his senior managing director role with HarbourVest, where he has worked for more than 20 years. He will remain with the firm in a part-time capacity, as a senior advisor, effective Jan. 1. His LP advisory board positions, which will be filled by other HarbourVest staffers, include Accel Partners, Alta Communications, Camden Partners, CVC Capital Partners, Elevation Partners, Evercore Partners, Francisco Partners, New Enterprise Associates, Summit Partners and Walden-Israel Management Co.

Several months ago, Delbridge was named chairman of his alma matter, Western New England College. “It’s not a fulltime job, but it’s at least a serious part-time job,” Delbridge says of the chairmanship. —Dan Primack
