Daniel named principal at Accel in India

Anand Daniel

has joined Accel Partners as a principal in the firm’s India office. He previously was with Flybridge Capital Partners. Daniel had previously served as an observer on the boards of Flybridge portfolio companies CHiL Semiconductor, Digital Lumens and Sciformix.

Providence taps DiPentima as advisor

Renny DiPentima

, former president and CEO of SRA International (NYSE: SRX) has joined Providence Equity Partners as a senior advisor. He will focus on the government information services sector and serve on the board of Providence portfolio company Altegrity Inc.

Thornton joins Tregaron

John Thornton

has joined Tregaron Capital as a partner, with a focus on the firm’s mezzanine debt business. He previously was a partner with Pacific Community Ventures and, before that, was a principal with American Capital Strategies.

Capricorn adds Reynaert

Johan Reynaert

has joined Capricorn Venture Partners as an investment manager on the firm’s cleantech team. He previously was with Belgium-based venture firm GIMV.

Trinity names Asprey EIR

Dave Asprey

has joined Trinity Ventures as an entrepreneur-in-residence. He previously was vice president of technology and corporate development with Blue Coat Systems.

Lam of WI Harper named president of business group

David Lam, a managing director with VC firm WI Harper Group, has been named president of the Asia America MultiTecnology Association (AAMA), a Silicon Valley business network.

McTighe joins GA

Mike McTighe

has joined General Atlantic as a special advisor, with a particular focus on Europe. He is chairman of Pace, Volex Group and WYG Group.

Jefferies boosts staffs

Magnus Christensson

has joined Jefferies as a managing director and European head of the firm’s fund placement group. He previously was with Atlantic-Pacific Capital.

Separately, Jeff Howe has joined Jefferies as a managing director in the firm’s financial sponsors group. He previously was co-head of leveraged finance origination and restructuring at Credit Suisse.

Adams adds Nicum

has joined Adams Street Partners as a London-based partner on the firm’s secondary team. He previously was with Coller Capital.

LMS names Rayne chairman

LMS Capital plc

, a U.K.-based buyout firm, appointed Robert Rayne to succeed Jonathan Agnew as chairman. Payne was previously a director at energy-focused buyout firm First Reserve.

LBC lassoes Goodwillie

Douglas Goodwillie has joined LBC Credit Partners as a director in the firm’s Chicago office. He previously was an operating director with Arsenal Capital Partners.
