Bruce Schulman

has joined NGP Energy Technology Partners as a managing director. He previously was with Saw Mill Capital.

Von Huetz marches over to Saints

Niko von Huetz

has joined direct secondaries firm Saints Capital as director of European investments. He previously was a partner and investment director with Add Partners.

Citigroup adds Morrison in Asia

Alasdair Morrison

has joined Citigroup as a senior advisor in Asia. He is the former chairman and CEO of Morgan Stanley Asia.

Santiago joins Stripes

Jason Santiago

has joined middle-market private equity firm Stripes Group as vice president of business development. He previously worked in the private placements group of Cowen and Co. New York-based Stripes is investing from a $100 million growth fund it raised in 2004.

IVP promotes Maltz

Institutional Venture Partners has promoted Jules Maltz to the position of principal, with a focus on Internet and software companies. He joined the firm in 2008 as a vice president, and he has worked on such deals as Spiceworks, Twitter and Yext.

Gobdel goes to Woodlawn

Evan Gobdel

has joined Chicago-based private equity firm Woodlawn Partners as a partner. He previously was a vice president with Midwest Mezzanine Funds.

Waud boosts staff

Waud Capital Partners has promoted David Neighbours to partner and Chuck Edwards to principal. Neighbours joined the firm in 2003 as a principal, while Edwards joined in 2005 as a vice president.

GA adds Saunders

Brent Saunders has joined General Atlantic as a senior advisor focused on the health care sector. He previously was a senior exec with Schering-Plough, including as president of Global Consumer Health Care and Head of Integration for Schering-Plough’s merger with Merck & Co.

Reed joins ComStar

Ryland Reed

, co-founding managing director of Point Capital Partners, has joined ComStar Media as executive vice president of business development. He will be charged with raising a $50 million production fund.

Carlyle promotes 33

The

Carlyle Group has promoted 33 professionals, including the following seven to managing director: Anand Balasubrahmanyan (Asian buyouts), Pam Bentley (accounting), Oussama Daher (European real estate), Shary Moalemzadeh (global distressed and corporate opportunities), Chris Ullman (communications), Stephen Wise (U.S. buyouts) and Alex Ying (Asian buyouts).

Tennenbaum snares Webb for IR

Wendy Webb

has joined Tennenbaum Capital Partners as a managing director of investor relations. She previously spent 20 years with The Walt Disney Co., including as executive director of The Walt Disney Company Foundation and senior vice president of investor relations and shareholder services.

Rich Zannino

, a managing director with CCMP Capital and former CEO of Dow Jones & Co., has joined the board of The Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. (NYSE: EL).

Hercules bulks up with Gable

Scott Gable has joined Hercules Technology Growth Capital as COO. He previously was head of U.S. operations for United Commercial Bank.

Jackson steps down

David Jackson

has resigned as CEO of Isthimar World, the investment arm of state-owned Dubai World. He will be replaced by chief investment officer Andy Watson.
