Coradiant buys Symphoniq assets

Coradiant Inc., a San Diego-based provider of Web performance management solutions, has acquired the assets of Palo Alto-based competitor Symphoniq Corp. No financial terms were disclosed. Symphoniq had raised about $12 million from Greylock Partners and InterWest Partners. Coradiant is also venture-backed, having raised about $55 million in VC funding from Desjardins, DCM, GrandBanks Capital, Mesirow Financial Private Equity and Miramar Venture Partners.

AuthenTec acquires Atrua

AuthenTec (Nasdaq: AUTH) has acquired Atrua Technologies Inc., a Campbell, Calif.-based provider of intelligent touch controls for mobile devices. The deal is valued at about $4.9 million in cash. Atrua had raised more than $33 million in VC funding from BlueRun Ventures, Ericsson Venture Partners, Neocarta Ventures, Osprey Ventures, Hua Hong Group and Mosen Company Ltd.

HP scoops up Ibrix

Hewlett-Packard has agreed to acquire Ibrix, a Billerica, Mass.-based provider of enterprise-class file serving software. No financial terms were disclosed. Ibrix has raised about $45 million in VC funding since 2003 from JT Venture Partners and Credit Suisse.
