Oracle scoops up HyperRollOracle has agreed to acquire certain assets of HyperRoll, a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of financial reporting acceleration solutions. No financial terms were disclosed. HyperRoll has raised more than $26 million in VC funding between 2000 and 2004 from Bessemer Venture Partners, Denali Venture Capital, Greylock Partners, Lighthouse Capital Partners, Vertex Management and Sequoia Capital.

Salary buys Makena Systems
Salary.com (Nasdaq: SLRY) has acquired the main technology assets of Makena Systems, a Lexington, Mass.-based provider of on-demand software for designing sales compensation plans. No financial terms were disclosed. Makena Systems raised a $3 million Series A round in 2006 from TD Capital Ventures. Makena Systems co-founders Teanna Spence and SeĂ¡n McGinty will join Salary.com.

FMC acquires Direct Drive
FMC Technologies (NYSE: FTI) has agreed to acquire Direct Drive Systems, a Cerritos, Calif.-based provider of permanent magnet motors and bearings for the oil and gas industry. The deal is valued at about $120 million, and is expected to close next quarter. Direct Drive raised $12 million in early 2008 from Energy Ventures and BankInvest.

Sabse calls on MobiVox
Sabse Technologies Inc., a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of VoIP services, has acquired MobiVox, a Montreal-based company that offers free international phone calling from any phone (mobile, landline, etc.). No financial terms were disclosed. MobiVox had raised an $11 million Series A round from Flybridge Cpaital Partners, IDG Ventures China, IDG Ventures Vietnam, Brightspark Ventures and Skypoint Capital Corp.
