Finance Wales has a new board of directors which will further strengthen its position as a major financial institution within Wales. The new board of directors includes Ivar Grey, a chartered accountant who, having joined KPMG’s predecessor firm in 1966 was appointed a partner in 1981. Moving to Wales in 1988 he has advised a wide range of organisations including publicly listed companies, private companies and public sector bodies.
Clive John has had a 20 year career in the private equity industry with Lloyds TSB Development Capital (LDC). As a senior director and head of the London head office John was involved in all new investment decisions as well as developing business strategy and investment policy.
Jane Clayton is a practising chartered accountant with over twenty five years experience in SME’s acting as an advisor and latterly as a non-executive director. Clayton has over twenty years’ association with the University of Swansea where she lectured on financial and management accounting topics, corporate governance and the MBA programme.
Michael Killick is currently the finance director for Peacock’s Stores Limited, one of the largest private companies based in Wales. Prior to joining Peacocks in 2000, he held a range of senior financial management positions with Trusthouse Forte plc, The Burton Group plc and Airtours plc and was more recently finance director for a private equity backed SME retail insurance broker.
Peter Radcliffe has held senior executive positions in four FTSE 100 and US Fortune 250 bank and IT companies.
As one of the early Xénos members Radcliffe led the first angel investment into Molecular Nature [now MNL Pharma] based in Aberystwyth. He chaired the company for five years. He now invests in technology businesses, mainly in the payment and mobile sectors, taking non-executive director positions to assist in their strategy and growth.
