Ex-OpenGate VP Jordan Stone joins Platinum

Jordan Stone, a former vice president at OpenGate Capital, recently joined Platinum Equity as a senior vice president in business development.

Stone spent seven years at OpenGate in business development, from 2009 to July 2016. He joined Platinum in July, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Prior to OpenGate, Stone worked as director of business development at OnGreen, and before that he worked at Ernst & Young.

Platinum has been in the market with its fourth fund, targeting $4.5 billion. The firm is led by Tom Gores, who launched the shop in 1995.

OpenGate, meanwhile, closed its debut fund on $305 million in July.
