Fund launches leads to expansion

International cleantech focused investment management group I2BF has appointed David Waserstein as director of investments.

Joining from US-based private equity firm Hudson Clean Energy Partners, Waserstein will be responsible for I2BF’s current venture capital portfolio as well as new investments and structuring and raising of future VC funds.

I2BF is expanding its investment team to enable it to launch two news funds which include a second US$100m global renewable energy and cleantech focused VC fund and a €30m water focused fund.

Established in 2005, I2BF is an international fund management group focused on venture capital and public equity activities in the clean technology sector. The firm’s venture fund currently has ten investments in its portfolio.
