Apollo Aviation Group has raised approximately $595 million for its second aviation fund, Sciens Aviation Special Opportunities Investment Fund II. SASOF II is managed by Apollo Aviation and Sciens Capital Management. The fund will acquire mid-life commercial aircraft for lease, or disassembly and resale.

The Carlyle Group has closed a $605 million collateralized loan obligation fund, the firm announced. Carlyle’s structured credit/CLO business has $17 billion in assets under management.

DB Private Equity & Private Markets said that its DB Secondary Opportunities Fund II has raised $614 million. The target of DB SOF II was $500 million. New and existing investors include insurance companies, public and corporate pension plans and family offices across the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. DB SOF II will buy private equity fund interests in the secondary market globally. DB Private Equity & Private Markets is the private markets unit of Deutsche Bank Asset & Wealth Management.

TowerBrook Capital Partners announced that it has closed its fourth fund at $3.5 billion. TowerBrook, with offices in London, New York and San Francisco, pursues control-oriented investments in large and mid-market companies, seeking situations characterized by complexity.
