Willis Stein & Partners III LP of Chicago is raising $1.8 billion through a private placement of membership interests. A minimum investment of $100,000 is required. Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp. of New York is acting as the agent on the placement for a finders’ fee of approximately $13.13 million. At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised just over $1.56 billion from 116 accredited investors. The private equity investment fund intends to use the proceeds from the offering for investment in the securities of companies and working capital.

OIA Select Commingled Fund LP of Boston is raising $1 billion through a private placement of fractional working interests. A minimum investment of $5 million is required. At the time of its SEC filing, the limited partnership had already raised almost $242.35 million from 26 accredited investors.

Lighthouse Capital Partners IV LP of Greenbrae, Calif., is raising $425 million through a private placement of limited partnership interests. A minimum investment is not required on the placement. At the time of its SEC filing, the company had already raised approximately $181.4 million from 30 accredited investors.

Rho Ventures IV LP of New York is raising $400 million through a private placement of partnership interests. A minimum investment of $100,000 was required. At the time of its SEC filing, the company had already raised over $68.6 million from 35 accredited investors.

The CompassPoint Explorer Fund LP of San Francisco is raising $400 million through a private placement of partnership interests. At the time of its SEC filing, the company had already raised just over $25.37 million from 60 accredited investors.

DRW Venture Partners LP of Minneapolis is raising $200 million through a private placement of limited partnership interests. At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised approximately $59.9 million from 153 accredited and 18 non-accredited investors.

The Peppertree Fund LP of San Francisco is raising $150 million through a private placement of limited partnership interests. A minimum investment of $500,000 is required. At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised just over $56.75 million from 15 accredited investors. The private equity fund-of-funds formed by Peppertree Partners as an investment vehicle for institutional and individual investors intends to use the proceeds from the offering for working capital.
