645 Investments III LLC of New York raised an additional $22.8 million from eight accredited and seven non-accredited investors through a private placement of LLC interests. This brings the total amount raised to $31.7 million out of a targeted $250 million. In March 2003, the fund reported that it had raised $8.9 million from 16 accredited and 15 non-accredited investors. A minimum investment of $10,000 is required on the placement. The fund plans to make public and private investments.

HCM Venture Fund LP of Belvedere, Calif., raised an additional $4.1 million from 12 accredited investors through a private offering of partnership interests. This brings the total amount raised to $8.8 million out of a targeted $250 million. In July 2003, the fund reported that it had raised $4.7 million from 42 accredited and one non-accredited investor. A minimum investment of $250,000 is required on the placement.

Equitek Global Technology Fund EFB LLC of Beachwood, Ohio, raised $304,329 from 27 accredited investors through a private placement of LLC interests. The fund plans to make venture capital investments.

Midwest Capital Venture Fund LLC of Cleveland has filed to raise $1 million through a private offering of limited liability interests. At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised $100,000 from two accredited investors.

Close Brothers Private Equity Fund VII of London has filed to raise $658.6 million through a private offering of partnership interests. At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised $235.6 million from 20 accredited investors. Berchwood Partners LLC of New York assisted with the fund-raising.
