Most recently, the fund (under the moniker Vertical Investments Emerging Growth Fund LP) reported that it had raised $8.9 million from 20 accredited investors as of August 2003. The fund plans to make venture capital investments.

Carlyle Europe Partners II LP of Washington has filed to raise Euro 2 billion through a private offering of partnership interests. At the time of its SEC filing, the fund had already raised Euro 432 million from 29 accredited investors. The minimum investment of Euro 5 million required on the placement can be waived.
