G2i names new manager

Gateway2investment (g2i), the UK support programme for London-based technology start-ups an early-stage companies, has hired Ian Shields as manager, taking over from Simon Littlewood who oversaw the creation and first two successful years of g2i and who will now move to a more strategic role.

Shields is programme manager at Grant Thornton, the UK business consultancy and lead partner in the g2i consortium. In his role at g2i he will be overseeing the organisation’s growth from a purely technology focussed programme to increasing its availability to all companies high growth potential in the Capital.
