GI Partners promotes three dealmakers in San Francisco

GI Partners this month promoted Jeff Sheu, Angela Zhang, both dealmakers on the technology side, and Patrick Lawler, on real estate, according to the firm’s website.

Sheu, Zhang, and Lawler confirmed their new roles to Buyouts.

Sheu, previously director on the firm’s software and service verticals, becomes a managing director. Sheu joined the firm in 2005 as an associate and since then has held several positions at the firm, including senior associate, vice president and principal.

He serves on the boards of MRI Software, Access, Doxim and Consilio.

Zhang, previously a vice president with a focus on software, fintech and payments, was named a principal. She joined the firm in 2015. She serves on boards of Togetherwork and Daxko, both software and payments providers.

Lawler, previously vice president on the real estate team, becomes a principal. Lawler joined the firm in 2016 from Invesco, where he also worked on real estate deals.
