GIMV exits Belgian metallurgical company

GIMV, the Belgian private equity firm, has agreed to sell its 12.5% stake in BMT, a Belgian metallurgical company, to SMH NV for €125 per share.

SMH already holds a 39.6% interest, and this full exit by GIMV will yield a capital gain of €8.6m. GIMV made its original investment in 1981.

In December 2003 BMT increased its share offering on Euronext. A total of 39.34% of the company is held by public shareholders.
