Great Hill CFO, CCO Laurie Gerber to retire; Controller Dwyer promoted

Great Hill Partners Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer Laurie Gerber is retiring, to be succeeded in the roles by Controller John Dwyer.

Gerber, who has been with Green Hill for almost 16 years, will transition her responsibilities to Dwyer over the next few months, according to a source familiar with the firm.

Dwyer joined Great Hill in May 2007 and has overseen financial reporting, tax and other back-office matters.

Founded in 1998, Boston-based Great Hill does buyouts, recapitalizations and growth investments in middle-market companies within the business and consumer services, healthcare, media, communications and software industries. Targets range in size from $25 million to $500 million, with the firm investing between $25 million and $150 million.

The 25-member investment team is led by Managing Partners Christopher Gaffney, Michael Kumin, Mark Taber and Matthew Vettel and Partners Christopher Busby, Nick Cayer, Rafael Cofiño and Peter Garran.

Great Hill closed its sixth growth buyout fund one year ago at the hard cap of $1.5 billion.
