Benoît Grossman has joined AGF Private Equity from Viventures, Vivendi’s struggling VC arm. As investment director Grossman is responsible for high technology and biotechnology direct investments at AGF, which also operates a fund-of-funds business.
Grossman spent over 10 years as a laser systems specialist at EDF, NASA and Thomson-CSF Optronique. He holds five patents and has published around 20 scientific publications.
His first foray into venture capital was in 1993 at Financière de Brienne where he spent five years and made about 20 investments in the technology sector. He became a partner at Viventures in 1998.
