Henderson strengthens team

Henderson Private Capital, the private equity arm of Henderson Global Investors, has strengthened its European infrastructure capability with the appointment of Guy Pigache as partner in its infrastructure team. The team now has five investment professionals in London, with over 50 years of combined experience of infrastructure equity, debt and fund management.

Pigache will work alongside fellow partners Paul Woodbury and Andrew Marsden managing the team’s first European product, a high yield fund.

Commenting on his appointment Guy Pigache said: “Henderson Private Capital has an outstanding heritage in infrastructure and the team in Europe has extensive experience across a broad spectrum of projects. Public Private Partnerships (PPP) are a dynamic part of the European infrastructure market and I am looking forward to capitalising on this opportunity on behalf of our clients.”

Pigache previously managed European PPP Infrastructure funds for HSBC and Grosvenor House Group. He has a joint honours degree in maths & physics from Kings College, London.

Also, Henderson Private Capital has expanded its European capability with the appointment of Roberto Italia as partner in Milan.

Italia was previously a partner and managing director at Warburg Pincus, the global private equity firm, which he joined in 1994, and most recently headed the communications practice globally, while also covering Southern Europe. Prior to this he was with the Telecom Italia Group. He relocated to Italy this year to focus on mid-market opportunities locally.
