Hermes adds two to team

Hermes Private Equity, the private equity arm of Hermes Pensions Management, has made a double appointment with Peter Gissel joining as a partner and Mark Nunny as investment manager.

Gissel joins from Nikko Principal Investments where he spent nine years as a principal, working on mid-market deals, primarily in the UK. He was previously a director with Price Waterhouse in their corporate turnaround and business regeneration practice.

Nunny spent four years with KPMG Transaction Services working on a variety of due diligence assignments for both private equity and corporate clients. Prior to this he worked in KPMG’s audit and tax departments.

The two appointments bring the number of investment professionals within the direct investment team at Hermes Private Equity to nine.
