HgCapital makes nine European hires

HgCapital has announced the recruitment of nine professionals to its team. This brings the total number employed by the European sector focused fund to sixty-nine.

Florencia Kassai has joined the Business Services team as an associate director from Bain & Co. where she was part of Bain’s private equity practice in London, working on commercial due diligence in Europe and the US.

Joachim Drees has joined as a portfolio manager, following ten years at DaimlerChrysler in Stuttgart, where he was a director responsible for all controlling issues regarding the worldwide truck business of DaimlerChrysler. Drees’ role also encompassed M&A in the Commercial Vehicle Division.

Justin Leong has joined as an associate director from Bain & Company where he spent five years advising businesses on corporate strategy, M&A and performance improvement. In addition, HgCapital has made a series of associate/analyst hires. Dan Sainsbury has joined as an associate from Worldwide Business Research (WBR) having spent six years advising blue-chip companies and SMEs on effective pan-European market and business development strategies.

Sutha Satkunarajah has joined as an analyst from Mercer Management Consulting in New York.

Sam Senbanjo has joined as an associate from KPMG where he spent the last two years working within their transaction services team. Edward Wielechowski has joined as an associate from JPMorgan where he worked as an analyst in the UK mergers and acquisitions team.

Vincent Luning has also joined as an associate. Luning was previously with UBS where he worked for three years in the M&A and leveraged finance teams.

Mark Vandevelde has joined as an associate from Bain & Co and Tamsin Phillips has joined as Marketing Executive.
