Thomas O Hicks, Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst (HMTF) co-founder and chairman, intends to retire on March 31, 2005 from his management role at the firm. HMTF partner John R Muse, with whom Hicks co-founded the firm in 1989, will succeed him as chairman.
