Inflexion makes London and Manchester hires

Mid-market private equity player Inflexion has made a double appointment to kick off 2008 with the hiring of Gareth Healy from Close Brothers and Malcolm Coffin from Rothschild.

Healy takes up the position of investment director in London following a three-year spell at Close Brothers as a managing director. There he was both the head of the IPO and management advisory practice and co-head of the technology team. Prior to this he spent seven years at UBS, as a director in the European technology team and the UK mid-market team. He originally trained as an accountant with Price Waterhouse.

Coffin has been appointed as an investment executive, based in Manchester, joins Inflexion from NM Rothschild & Sons where he worked in the consumer products M&A team as assistant manager. In this role he was involved in all aspects of the M&A process including valuation and transaction execution including AG Barr’s acquisition of Strathmore Mineral Water and Dairy Crest’s acquisition of St Hubert. Prior to this he trained as a chartered accountant at Deloitte & Touche.
