It takes two at Close Bros

London-headquartered corporate finance house Close Brothers has made two new appointments.

Jonathan Broome joins the European debt advisory group as a director to advise companies on all aspects of raising debt. He is rejoining Close Brothers after two years at Eaton Vance, the NYSE-listed mutual fund which manages one of the world’s largest non-bank leveraged loan funds. Previously he worked at Fortis Bank in acquisition finance, responsible for originating, structuring and syndicating MBO’s in the UK and Europe.

Nuala Higgins joins the European financial sponsors group as an associate director responsible for originating buy and sell-side opportunities for middle-market private equity groups. She joins from the specialist private equity search firm Lomond Consulting where she recruited senior management teams for private equity portfolio companies. She has previously worked at Livingstone Partners, Grant Thornton Corporate Finance and KPMG.
