LGV names new chief

Ivan Heywood, the managing director at LGV Capital, has been unveiled as the successor to Adrian Johnson as chief executive.

Johnson stepped down from the role he has occupied for almost seven years in April. He is reported to be considering his options following nearly 20 years at the firm. He entered private equity in 1983 when he joined 3i, where he spent six years, specialising in venture capital and project finance before joining LGV in 1989. He became CEO in July 2000.

Heywood joined LGV in October 1990 from PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
